Our Standards

The foundation of every event we serve

At FAUR, we are on a mission to source and train the most exceptional, professional and premium staff for every client.

Find out more about our philosophy by reading What we Believe.

We measure ourselves by the quality of our people and the consistency of our work. These standards are not an afterthought; they are the foundation of our company. They guide who we hire, how we train, how we support clients, and how we perform on site.

1

Training and vetting

We only hire experienced, exceptional professionals. Every applicant is interviewed and screened in person, never ‘virtually’. We look at skill, but also at how a candidate carries themselves. Presentation, attitude, and professionalism matter as much as technical ability.

Even with experience, every hire goes through in-house training at our offices*. This allows us to set expectations clearly and reinforce the standards of service that define our brand. Our focus is on building a reliable team, not a revolving door of temporary workers.

We do not hire contractors. All FAUR staff are employees. This means they are covered by insurance, WSIB, and proper licensing, including Smart Serve where required. These protections are in place for the safety of both our staff and our clients.

Client care

Every client works with a dedicated Event Concierge. This role is more than administration. The Concierge is your direct line of support before and during your event. They learn the details of your booking and act as your partner in planning service.

Your Concierge can advise on practical questions such as how many staff to book, how much liquor to purchase, or what style of service best fits your event. They can also connect you with trusted vendors and rental partners if you need services beyond staffing.

During your event, the Concierge monitors logistics and remains available should any last-minute adjustments arise. Their job is to anticipate issues before they occur, so you can focus fully on your guests and the purpose of your event.

Reliability and consistency

We have staffed more than 7,800 events across private homes, hotels, estates, convention halls, and public venues. The settings differ, but the expectation does not. We commit to punctuality, preparation, and professionalism at every event.

Our operations team manages scheduling and logistics so that staff arrive on time and in uniform. Each member of the team understands their role before they step on site. This preparation allows us to execute consistently, whether serving dinner for 20 or managing service for 2,000.

Consistency is not only about execution but also about peace of mind. Clients return to us because they know what to expect. They know the staff will be presentable, attentive, and focused, and that the service will match the standards we set during the booking process.

Discretion and professionalism

Many of our clients are individuals or organizations that require privacy. Discretion is part of our training and part of our culture. Staff are taught to blend into the background when appropriate, to maintain professional etiquette, and to keep focus on their role.

This is true in all environments, whether we are serving at a private dinner in someone’s home, staffing a political fundraiser, or supporting a luxury brand at a public event. We respect both the client and the setting.

Professionalism also means accountability. Staff are expected to follow instructions from supervisors and respect the chain of command during an event. They are also expected to maintain uniform standards, stay attentive on the floor, and avoid distractions. These basics are non-negotiable and are part of what separates FAUR from agencies that rely on casual gig workers.

Standards are not guidelines for us. They are the foundation of how we hire, how we train, and how we serve. They are why our clients trust us, event after event.
