To shift perceptions of Calgary as a travel destination, Tourism Calgary launched an interactive TTC activation. Our ambassadors engaged commuters, encouraged contest entries, and helped extend the campaign by an extra day, with the event drawing strong public response and coverage from outlets including CTV and BlogTO.

Brand Ambassadors

The Challenge
Tourism Calgary sought to reshape perceptions of Calgary as a destination by highlighting its unexpected vibrancy and appeal. To reach a Toronto audience, they launched an activation at the city’s busiest subway station, supported by colorful “paint swatch” cards featuring Calgary experiences and a QR code linking to a contest for a VIP trip. The goal was to maximize contest entries and inspire commuters to consider Calgary as their next destination.

The Solution
FAUR provided brand ambassadors trained to follow Tourism Calgary’s detailed activation protocols. To ensure the best possible fit, the client received a curated look-book of candidates, with the ability to interview and hand-pick their preferred representatives. The selected ambassadors engaged commuters with warmth and professionalism, encouraged contest participation, and brought the campaign’s vibrant tone to life.

The Results
The activation drew strong public engagement and received coverage in major local outlets including CTV and BlogTO. Subway introduced its Jerk-Spiced Rice Bowls with NBA players Scottie Barnes and Chris Boucher at a Toronto launch event. Our ambassadors supported guest interactions, served food, and drove hashtag participation, boosting campaign awareness across social media.

Brand Ambassadors

The Challenge
Subway Canada launched two new Jerk-Spiced Signature Rice Bowls co-created by Toronto Raptors’ NBA stars Scottie Barnes and Chris Boucher. To promote the release, they hosted an exclusive launch event in Toronto, where media, influencers, and fans could interact directly with the athletes. A central goal was to amplify the campaign online through contest hashtags and social sharing.

The Solution
We provided three brand ambassadors who supported both the hospitality and promotional sides of the event. They served hors d’oeuvres, posed with guests, and encouraged attendees to share their experience using the campaign hashtag to maximize reach. Our ambassadors worked alongside Toronto Raptors’ Barnes and Boucher throughout the evening, helping guests feel welcomed while keeping the campaign’s social media goals front and center.

The Results
The event generated strong engagement on-site and online, with guests actively participating in the contest and sharing branded content across social platforms. Zellers

As Zellers reintroduced its brand to Canadians, we staffed its influencer event with polished servers in branded uniforms. Our team greeted guests, served diner-inspired bites, and reinforced the nostalgic energy around the retailer’s return.

To celebrate its return across Canada, well-known (and beloved) Canadian retailer, Zellers, hosted an influencer event at Hudson’s Bay in Scarborough Town Centre. The evening was designed to reintroduce the brand, highlight its new offerings, and reconnect with the community. The event combined elements of hospitality with brand messaging, requiring staff who could manage service while embodying Zellers’ approachable and nostalgic identity.

The Solution
We provided five experienced servers who assisted with event setup, guest greeting, and food service. Dressed in Zellers-branded uniforms supplied by the client, our staff served diner-inspired classics such as chicken fingers, sliders, and hot sandwiches. They also supported brand messaging by engaging with attendees, creating a welcoming environment that reflected the brand’s community-focused tone.

The Results
The event successfully introduced Zellers’ new direction to influencers and media. Our staff contributed to both the service and presentation, ensuring guests felt looked after while also reinforcing the brand’s personality through direct interaction. We provided three expert mixologists supported by our event concierge team. Together with the client, we designed a custom cocktail menu tailored to the event theme, featuring a spiced pumpkin cocktail, a maple old fashioned, and a green apple martini.
